Kleinpeter Farms to begin Ice Cream producion, asks consumers to vote on flavors.

(Baton Rouge, LA, May 25,2007) What’s your favorite ice cream? Kleinpeter Farms Dairy will begin ice cream production in late 2007 or early 2008 and is asking consumers to tell them how to make it.

“We’re planning our ice cream now, and we want you to tell us how you want it, just as if you were making your own ice cream at home,” said Jeff Kleinpeter, President.

“We want to know what flavors, what sizes, whether or not you want sugar free, and all those things. Think about it as if you and your family were making homemade ice crème on a hot summer afternoon. What would you put in it? Tell us now and we will make it for you!” Kleinpeter added.

Kleinpeter is asking consumers to visit the company website: www.kleinpeterdairy.com and vote for their favorite flavors. The company is also asking whether people prefer sugar free ice cream, fat free ice cream, and even what sizes are most convenient.

Kleinpeter said the decision to begin making ice cream after nearly 100 years of milk products production is in response to consumer requests.

“We’ve focused on producing and packaging the finest milk products possible, and our gains in customer loyalty have allowed us to make this commitment to produce high quality ice cream.” Kleinpeter said.

The decision to go into ice cream production represents a major expansion for Kleinpeter Dairy. Jeff Kleinpeter says twenty new permanent jobs and six part time jobs will be created. Kleinpeter will start with four basic flavors and is already conducting taste tests at the dairy. The ice cream will be available in approximately eight months.
